*** Open Water Course - Comprehensive ***
- Duration: 3 Days (approx.)
- Location: Queenscliff, VIC
- Product code: P9LNZR
Scubabo Dive Victoria will provide comprehensive training from their Queenscliff dive centre, where you will have access to a private purpose-built dive pool, accommodation and vessels for dive charters in Port Phillip Bay!
Then you may need an extra day to complete the SSI Perfect Buoyancy and Enriched Air Nitrox Specialties, which can be organised around your availability. (We will try to complete both specialties across the 3 days but in the event we cannot facilitate, we will bring you back for one more day)
The SSI Perfect Buoyancy program teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximize your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water, and get the most from your equipment. You will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification.
As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40% certification.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
At our dive centre, we offer rental equipment on SCUBA hardware only. This does not include mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves – you must own these for your course.
The Melbourne based store, Scuba Culture (Burwood) has a wide range of discounted equipment both instore and online at www.scubadiveshop.com.au
Make time to get fitted at our shop after you complete your booking!
Scuba diving relies heavily on being comfortable in the water with the gear you are using so most people becoming divers take the opportunity to purchase some of the personal items that will enhance the course and can be used well after the course for your diving and snorkelling adventures. Some popular items students buy, along with the basic starting equipment are: Wetsuits, Boots, Hoods, SMB & Reel, Computer, Torch and Compass
