Scubabo Dive Victoria will provide comprehensive training from their Queenscliff dive centre, where you will have access to a private purpose-built dive pool, accommodation and vessels for dive charters in Port Phillip Bay!
Many of the ocean's best dive sites have artificial reefs, or wrecks that have sunk through the ages. This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely scuba dive above and around these underwater treasures. You will earn the SSI Wreck Diving certification after completing this program.
Only around Port Phillip Bay area you will find over 200 shipwrecks, but only with your SSI Wreck Diving certification you will be able to explore them!
Prerequisites
- At least 10 years of age
- Open Water Diver certification or higher
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
At our dive centre, we offer rental equipment on SCUBA hardware only. This does not include mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves – you must own these for your course.
You will also need to own a torch, SMB, Reel and Compass. We also recommend a Knife

Dive Medical:
A dive medical is only required if you fall into one or more of the following categories:
Those with an at risk medical condition; or are over 45 years of age; or have a body mass index (BMI) over 30 AND a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and 88cm for females.
If you fall into one or more of these categories you will need to obtain a diving medical (AS4005.1) The cost is roughly $100AUD and takes about 45 minutes to complete with a registered diving doctor.

Course Schedule:
The primary goal of any SSI Specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. The SSI Wreck Diving Course is taught using home study, in-water training and a total of 2 open water dives.
